Admission Requirements
Admission to the group home must be initiated by contacting the Executive Director at (407) 462-6002. An initial screening is done by phone, further background information such as psychological evaluation, family history and reports may also be requested. The following criteria must be in place before any consideration of admission is granted:
- Must be a female between the ages of 6 and 17. If the child is less than 6 years of age and is part of a sibling group that child can be admitted to the group home if at least one of the members of the sibling group is 12 years of age or older.
- In the custody of the State of Florida.
- Have a willingness to enter the home, follow the program, and all rules.
- Enrolled in school appropriate for public school attendance.
- W.I.N. FOR KIDS, INC. must have a written child care agreement with Community Care Base Agency that is holding custody of the child.
- Each child must have an individual Case Plan and Case Manager.
Unacceptable admissions include, but not limited to:
- Fire Starters
- Sexual Predators
- Children who inflict harm upon themselves and/or others.
